$90,000! For a '70 300 Hurst, or $60,000 for another of the same model, on another thread $39,000 for a '69 coupe......has the world gone mad? I'm sure it will boost the egos of current owners, but I'm afraid it will scare potential buyers of c-bodies from joining our circle.

After a Hurst sold for only $20k at Mecum Las Vegas yesterday some people are going to need to readjust their values on their Hursts.

Unless of course some Millennial snowflake with more money than brains buys the thing. Happens more often than one might think, which is why we see some of the outrageous asking prices.

Current Hemmings "Old Car Price Guide" lists '70 in #3 for $18k and #2 at $28k for Hursts. Somebody has been smoking too many funny cigarettes to come up with those asking prices. Must have been some good ****. And yes, the world has gone made in more ways than I would have thought possible.

No console and no factory a/c - only an add on system. Not sure the manual outside driver window is correct or not, no tilt/tel steering column and few other options. Fairly nicely done, but not that nice to ask $90K and way too few options. If he paid someone to do all the work, he probably won't get his money back no matter how hard he tries. This car has been around the block on this site now I believe a couple times. The price just keeps going up. Not realistic.

Throw ALL price guides in the garbage.

On another note, this interstellar object that’s hogging up all the headlines looks an awful lot like the pool doodie from Caddyshack. Yeah a bit overpriced, I’ll be long gone b4 my C body is worth 5,800 with a tree growing thru it.

I would be the first to agree that much of the information in the various price guides is often out of date as they tend to only track the most recent sales. If a car is relatively rare, the price guide can be many months out of date if the last sale on a rare car was 6 months or a year ago. That having been said, the guide is a starting place for valuation. Nothing can really be valued without eyes on the car and in the end a car is worth whatever a buyer and sell can agree on.

That,s the beauty of auctions. It depends on the venue, whose there, and what kind of cars are there in the auction.A 300 hurst may not be what most of the bidders are looking for.The integrated rear wing is my favorite feature of that car.I love luxury plus performance.B.B

wake up ! look at other prices !
68 charger ? it is the same price. this is the same car !!! everything is like that..
chargers, RR, and basically all "muscle cars ". these cars where worth 10/15 K€ when it started with US cars ( and people thought they were expensive ! ), look at the values now. Sorry to tell you that, but there is rationnaly no reason for that, somme muscle cars comes with a 318 !
