Very high for a car that in many ways does not meet the mark for the fans of service cars (buckets, A/C all missing, wrong steel wheels etc.)

I’m pretty new here but Seems.... high?

Very overpriced. Note factory A/C has been gutted, aftermarket carb, manifold, headers, valve covers. Unlikely to still be the original engine and transmission which will be beating themselves to death with 4:10 gears Car has no appeal at any where near that price. Qualifies as a resto-mod and the seller will probably be lucky to get $5k for it. On the plus side the car appears straight and rust free and would be a good project at the $5k price. A good example of a seller that did the vehicle wrong and is buried in his car trying to recoup some of the cost. Seller probably has something approaching $10k just in the engine, which in this case does nothing for the value of the car. I would be scared to death of a stroker engine that ran any distance on the street with 4:10 gears, run do not walk away.

It does look solid but it's a damn shame they did that to a car with such potential.

My first ticket was from a Montana blue in ‘85. I think I was around 70 in a 55. $5

If I remember those times correctly, that $5 ticket wasn't for speeding, but for wasting fuel resources. That's what they did after they imposed the national 55 speed limit again. It let the state circumvent the penalties for not having a 55 limit.

Montana used to have no speed limit during the day and a 70mph limit at night. Jimmy Carter's 55 mph limit was very unpopular in most of the West because of the longer distances between major cities.

I've never gotten a speeding ticket (knock on/touch wood). That's because most of the time, I drive the speed limit; the other times, I've been lucky. Then again, for most of my driving life, I haven't had a V-8 car. Sammy Hagar's "I Can't Drive 55" fits my T&C very well!

I was about to blow by a State Patrol back in September on my way home from a car show. Beautiful day, song on the radio, I was singing along at full volume, moving past the corn at a high rate. About ten car lengths ahead of me I realized who it was, touched the brakes, saw his lights come on, then off, and I kept it to 60 til he was out of sight! It was just a combo of everything being right, perfect weather, song and road conditions.
