Just in case no one else posts this great picture-
Very clean 1972 Dodge Monaco. 400CI big block 727 transmission. Engine has been rebuilt by previous owner 400/406 30 over with a very mild cam. Newer Edlebrock 4 barrel. 2.95:1 Sure Grip. HP manifolds with TTI pipes and new mufflers. Disc brakes. 90% cooper cobra tires. Lowered 2”. Everything in this car works as it should gauges, lights, flip up headlights, power steering etc. I have driven this car on many long trips 250+ miles one way and a couple days a week. Makes a great daily driver or weekend driver car. Very clean to be original and 54 years old. Pretty firm on price but willing to take offers. No Trades

was the top rotted or is it a special flat black vinyl not standard equipment

I can't say for sure, but judging by the way it doesn't reflect any light at all and seems to absorb it like a black hole, I'd guess it's textured bedliner or a similar product. Definitely not standard equipment.
