Old Man with a Hat
They're not that cheap here. $5500 and up. I've heard parts are hard to come by for them and were even when new.
I'm thinking of skipping all these k-Kars altogether and fast forwarding to a beat-to-**** Crossfire with a stick. Cheap ones are popping up,
I think this belongs, or belonged to, Marty Mopar.
Find me an absolutely mint Yugo with a stick and....That's a big step up from a mint Yugo.
I was with a customer and I had some work to do at another one of their locations. As was often done, I would follow someone over to the other location and they would show me what needed to be done etc.. The guy said "I'll meet you at the driveway of the parking lot. I'll be driving a blue Yugo". I started laughing, thinking he was joking around... He wasn't.Find me an absolutely mint Yugo with a stick and....
Greer, I didn't know you'd added that little '85 TI Charger to your fleet? You've been at our Ponderosa ah couple times so I know you've seen my fleet. I had the same acceleration problem with my '87 GTC Labaron TI coupe for over two years. Then It started overheating. 1st thing I replaced was the thermostat, and that didn't help so I had a compression test run on the little beast and found low compression on #4 and it went down hill from there. No it wasn't a blown head gasket az I'd hoped. Cracked head all the way thru the Water Jacket soooo????? A re-maned head was the only answer. I wound up with a roller rocker re-maned set up, don't know what year and don't care. The little beast now preforms as well as my 2.5L TII GT Scamp. Hope you don't run into those problem with your '85 My Friend. But I'd look close at having a serious Compression test run on your little '85. Oh, and I'd pay attention to turbomni also Pal. He knows his stuff better then most do, and we talk by P.M. every so often. Happy Trails Jarhead and stay in touch, Jer
I call him probably the most intelligent man on Earth.Turned out to be his daily driver and he was not really into cars, just had an old Yugo he took really good care of.
I especially like the ones with the three lug nuts. Safety first
Soundz good young man. Check in again 'bout Easter time and we'll make it happen, JerJer,
We need to meet up and go out for a lunch sometime again. Hopefully when the weathers a bit nicer.
In regards to the car I got it on the 4th of July. Seeing your Lebaron with digital dash really inspired me to get a 80s K-Car. Thanks for the advice. Next time I’m around I hope I can see the Scamp in action
But are they left hand thread on the driver's side??
