My brother in law from the first wife had the same, except his had the wood grain sides.

I would have skipped the Roof rack and whitewalls in my order and would have settled with a lower trim line, otherwise perfect as far as this model year is concerned. The 67 is my favorite though.

Gorgeous color, great wagon for a Chebbie.

It's funny how times change. I had a 67 Chevy wagon, 283 with a 3 speed stick. Gold, black interior & a positrac rear end (red tag & all). I think the mileage was around 60k. Near mint & really a rare car being stick. One owner estate sale. It took over 6 months to sell it & I ended up taking 2k for it, around year 2000. I had call after call, almost ever day. Someone would look at it each week. Each time they would reminisce about the old days, never drive it, maybe not start it, and then leave needing to think about it. And this was a really nice driving well maintained car. To do it over again I would have put the rally wheels, a cowl induction hood, and a floor shift that everyone else thought ruined the car.

Back in the day I had a 66 Impala Four Door Sedan.
283 -Powerglide.
Low miles (43,000),well kept car when I got it.
It turned out to be one of the biggest POS cars I have owned.
Best thing it did was reaffirm I should only drive Mopar.

Love it, our first family wagon was '65 Impala wagon. It was not that cool.

A beauty, looks like a fun driver. We had a 65 Impala, aqua/ aqua, 327, auto, as well for awhile. Not nearly as cool as this one.

I saw 2 guys digging between the fenders of a 66 Chevy wagon sitting in the ground, one guy pops up, "This things still got the 396 in it!" They were very happy to tear it down to the short block to get it out. Don't know if it was a stick.

first time lve seen this wagon with the 4 speed or the SS designation...like it
Right. Chevy never made an SS wagon (although I found an article that said 1973 was the one and only year for an SS wagon.)
