Oh no I bought another one 1970 Newport Convertible

I unrapped and got into my 300 this morning. I have an extra set of armrests, the trim in the box was for the doors and fenders. The other box that I thought was trim was a trunk mat. I am still missing the rear trim where the boot clips on. I might just have to use snaps. now the guy wants to sell me another Newport convertible and a 300 convertible. Wow 2 of each? Pictures are on the way. I had already committed to the Newport when he decided to toss in the 300. He said that he had lost his body guy and was going to get out of it. I can't pass it up.

PS: for the rear trim, you may want to look at parts-car 1969 or 1970 convertibles. Several have been parted out and advertised on FCBO in the last 2-3 years -- perhaps you can find the right parts.

Well being excited about a car will get a guy places. The guy that I bought this car from called me back and offered me his 1970 Newport convertible and his 1969 or 1970 300 2 Dr hardtop parts car and all of his parts delivered for 2900.00 I got him down to 2400.00. He dropped the convertible off today and the hardtop and parts will be here Tuesday. The guy said the 1970 Convertible was his dad's and he figured I would give it a good. home. He said his painter backed out on him. It is pretty much completely disassembled but a solid rust free Nevada car. I will get the VIN tag posted in a couple of days as the hood hinges are in the trunk and I'm too old to manhandle the hood. Pictures to follow.

Wow another N-code convertible!

Green w/ white top and tan/brown(?) interior is an unusual combo.

The trim was in the other convertible. It is looking like I might have and extra set of hardtop trim. I'm still in the process of sorting everything out. I did find an extra instrument cluster. IIRC that makes 3 I have now. I did find a complete jack, now I won't have to toss my handy man in the gold/green convertible. After comparing paint chips to door jamb paint I'm calling it a Y-4 Mystic Gold Poly convertible.

The brown interior is still in pretty good shape. It is a bucket seat, auto console car with manual windows.

Do you know more about the history of the EF8 (now yellow) Newport ‘vert? It’s indeed another rare N-code.

What is so special about an N code car?

It was his dad's car. Another solid Nevada car. That's all I know about the history of the car. I do have the build sheet I will post

It is all tore apart/disassembled. I think drugs or alcohol were involved in that.
