Chrysler: Cordoba 300

This car was in the old man's Garage, a true barn-find since its all original.
I talked him into selling it to me. The car has always been a garage queen. I have all the original turbine style rims with new tires also which are included in the auction in addition to the 20" Staggered chrome set up which the car is being sold with.
The car has all original paint and according to the gentleman, the car is a one owner. I do not have service records but the condition of the car speaks for itself. It drives beautifully and it's a true eye catcher.
"They sure don't make them like that anymore"
is what people say when they see it on the road, at the traffic light or at Gas station. It's a true gem.
I replaced the rims and tires with the 20" rims with deep dish look and replaced the original shocks, did oil and filter change and flushed the coolant and Brake fluid. The car is ready for a collector. A picture of the sticker with all optional codes under the hood shows all options and decoding the VIN also indicates it is a "Special Pricing" Cordoba with 300 trim and 360 Cu.In 4 Barrel carburetor.

I'd drive the hell out of that!

I thought the '79 300's were white with a few red ones that went to Canada? this one was born this color. Wasn't it the E58 that came with the 300's? Looks nice but already over-priced (8,900!!!)

All Cordoba vins begin with "SS". S=Cordoba, S=Special (price class).

I don't buy the "300" trim story. It's just a red interior with an added 300 grille. The rims are ugly, but I like the car itself.

E56 is the code for a California-spec 360 4bbl, so that aspect is correct.

Good lord those wheels are awful. Also, the seller uses my least favorite tactic for selling cars... "L@@K". And on top of that, he flat out says it was garage kept, but calls it a "barnfind" in the same sentence.
:BangHead:
Oh, and it's not a "one owner" car anymore, loser!

Thanks 300Rag for your kind thoughts about my lack of a true '79 Doba300 and your continued efforts to make sure my wife divorces me....It's like offering a crack addict the keys to the police evidence locker and telling him to stand guard you know he won't last too long before he ...well you get the idea...besides it has to be white just sayin oh and needs a hemi oh ya and a window sticker as well as less than 500 miles - find a unicorn like that and i'm in!!!!

Being an owner of a 300, I won't wait for dobalovr ... I'm not sure what went on here but that's not a 300. I can pick it apart from top to bottom, but what would be the point. Pretty as it may be, its not a 300.

Now you've done it, the guys will be looking for "your" white 79, they may even find one.

LOL

Agreed, wouldn't a 300 have no VT, red-white-blue emblems under the opera window, and engine-turned decal around the gauges? And the FT should hold more evidence.

The wheels aren't my choice either, but we should give a little credit that they have proper offset and fill the wheelwells properly.

Well, his listing title is:
1979 Chrysler Cordoba
1979 Chrysler Cordoba 300 Barn Find
Barn-find Cordoba 300 BLK on RED W/ T-top 21K mi L@@K

I think it's a little deceptive. As Clint Eastwood said - 'it's a fine line, but it ain't invisible'. I think it's deceptive overall, but whether done thru seller's lack of knowledge is a whole 'nother question...

As I said before, very nice looking car, but it's not a 300... Sorry but it's a clone!
