Reminds me of that White Frank Sinatra 81 Imp a while back....lots of "documentation" but I wasn't buyin what he was selling

He was asking $80000 in the add which was a typo he wanted $8000 IIRC so likely did not sell.

I'm thinking that the dealer swapped in the FS tape deck console to make a sale.

I just found the dealer sales handbook I had on these Imperials and some sales literature. When you ordered the Frank Sinatra edition the only color you could get was the Glacier Blue. No other options. I'm thinking just what you said Stan. That little tape door doesn't make it an FS Edition. Also the FS had that same square gold medallion with FS embossed in it on the fenders by the imperial letters

You're right. Mine has a 9.25 came with the 300 package.

To my knowledge all 1979 300s came with the 9.25 gear which contained 3.21 gears.

In regards to an 81-83 Imperial. About a year ago, I almost bought an 83 in Nightwatch Blue with the dark blue interior and aluminum (snowflake) wheels. It was a show winner and the guy sold it on eBay for 6k I believe.

That's okay. I ended up with decent cars afterwards. What I would like to end up with is a decent 79 Lil' Red Express truck again. I miss mine almost everyday.
