I had admired that NY from afar but cannot abide another car.
I always feel saddened that cars I couldn't buy had gone overseas. Makes no sense, but those feelings bubble up.

And I saw this Polara on ebay recently and admired the good bones and the 383hp. You made a good score.

thank-you, I normally only purchase 1 or 2 owner cars, but, thought I''d take a chance with this one, not going to invest terrible, new top and roadworthy are my goals, paint jobs don't interest me. I've also got the Newport

Restoration is expensive and usually a money-loser at sale time.
The folks that say that doesn't matter evidently have enough funds that they can afford to sell at a loss and still buy the next car...

On the 67 to 68 NYer the dashes are slightly different due to some DOT regulations that were passed down one year to the next. Would it fit, I would think it would be real close.

well, the car arrived 11:00 pm, driver couldn't get it to start so I had to help him push it out, once out in the open, I primed the carb and she started, got it my garage, Drop the gas tank today and surprised it ran, had 8-10 gal of nasty 20 year old gas/rust. I'm wondering where everyone else gets rid of old gas, the minute I dump it somewhere, the swat team will descend on me. I'll get some pix soon. Oh, having fun!

starting from ground zero, gas tank getting replaced, it's helpful to know the engine ran.

Mod, is it ok to use this thread for further updates?, well then, I guess it's ok. so as things progress, I'll post here.

filter cogged with debris, I'm sending the carb out for rebuild, changing fuel pump and cleaning all the lines, just a drop in the bucket of things needed to be done.
