Old Man with a Hat
The power antenna in my 76 NYB finally crapped the bed last night.
Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it I guess, it's in the down position.
You hardly see a NOS one. If there if there is one, there's a 50% chance it is a defective one that was put back in the box of the new warranty replacement one.
I found One (1) p/n 3501336 for... Wait for this... $300.00.
Used ones are too much of a crap shoot. They are 40 years old now.
But if one of you guys here feel that you have one that is in VG condition, I will risk buying it.
I'm hesitant about a universal aftermarket unit fitting.
A universal aftermarket manual antenna looks like ****.
Those hidden antennas don't t work in FuBu County.
What would you do, knowing that getting at the power antenna in a Formal means removing the inner fender, unbolting the outer fender and wedging a 2x4 in there (Ouch! My effing new paint job ).
Or should I start buying CD's .
