Old Man with a Hat
Recently repaired the one in a 96 toyota 4 runner, it had a bad plastic strip in it. Was a half an hour job start to finish, maybe something new can be adapted, Necessity is the mother of invention.
My '78 New Yorker Coupe antenna has not worker for years. Its a combo radio/CB antenna that manually is raised and lowered as needed.
He doesn't own it. It's the one Nigel has for 300 with his Sucker Tax added on.
Bob, if it was anybody else but you that said that I'd swear they were high as a kite. Lol.put the muti-colors radio in it and chuckle every time I'm driving at night and see the colors automatically changing
Zilch. Nada. If I sell the steering wheel, I'll buy the NOS antenna.
If it doesn't sell, I'll go to the second hand store and buy Slim Whitman CD's for 25¢ each.
Steve, here is my problem. To pull the power antenna on these cars requires removing the inner fender, removing the fasteners to pull away the outer fender, and jamming a 2x4 (seriously, no joke) in there to get access to the antenna.I second using Jeff Carter to fix your current antenna. He has been an invaluable resource for anything electric with the Chrysler 300 Club for decades. He will do it right. Some of my older cars have electroluminscent panel lighting, and he even fixes those to like new. And the nicest guy you will find - very willing to help. Give him a call and talk about it. I picture him like Paul, the one restoring Derek's Sport Fury GT. And I expect it would cost much less than that NOS one that probably won't last long.
