BUT you wouldnt have that one yet

I definitely see a lot of leaning overall to Slabside Chryslers.
How can anyone not drool over one in the configuration that appeals to them best.

Dave's choice above really made me think .. I'd have to have the superlite and Matt's picks was super as well. Then there's windi's 68 300, and on and on

There's simply too many options to pick just one

I'd take a 66 like the one Matt described. But if I could only drive one car for the rest of my life it would definitely be my metric Challenger.

1976 New Yorker Brougham 2-door, triple black, leather, sunroof, 15" Road Wheels.

1976 Dodge Royal Monaco, 440 auto, loaded, triple black, 15" Road Wheels, sunroof, AM/FM/CB.

It all depends on how we define "if" I guess.

A very familiar car to me. . . I've seen this car offered for sale for at least the past two years - maybe longer. First time I saw it, the price was $25k. The last time (about nine months ago) it was $19K. From what I could tell, the car appeared to be a pretty strong No. 1 car too.

Great Car. Certainly would be a tough call between the 65 and 66 300's.

1957 300C Convertible, Copper Glow, Tan Interior, White Top, fully loaded

1960 300F Convertible, Polar Blue, Blue Interior, White Top, fully loaded

I'd have a tough time deciding between a '65 Chrysler 300 and a '68 Imperial. I like my car, but I prefer the grille on the '68s. I'd be pretty happy with most of the way mine is optioned, even the fabric/leather combo (it seems like you don't see nice fabric on cars any more). I'd change the rear heat for rear air, and I'd go with manual HVAC rather than Auto Temp, because if you're going to go back in time, might as well learn the lesson that Auto Temp is unreliable. I might be tempted to go with Silver Haze Metallic, instead of my current Ivory. For sure, I'd add power door locks and cruise, but I don't need the Sentinel.

If I were to go with a '65 Chrysler, it would be based on my understanding that by the end, you could get a 300 with all the letter options. So I'd get a 300 4-door hard-top, 413 with a 4-speed. A gentleman's express, and nobody would have to suffer the indignity of crawling out of a back seat.

But I'd be pretty happy with my car, as it is, but new. (I'm pretty happy with it even now.)

I'll take my 67 with a 6.1L SRT8 motor/6 speed combo. Matter of fact throw an entire LX/LY platform suspension under it. Give me A/C and fuel injection to go along with it.
