Stumbled across one more by accident, and discovered an interesting, known history.
202 W. Main, Northville MI.
Built 1935, "art moderne", I woulda tried to own this. Was born a Gulf corporate 1930's "icebox" design, then a Sunoco, then a Chrysler dealer, and other stuff (barber shop, dry cleaners, etc).
There were additions to enlarge it along the way (they built away from the street and deeper into the lot), but they kept the curvilinear streamline facade intact.
It is 7,000 sq. ft. now, but was born about 1/3 that size.
Alas, I would have needed a PowerBall jackpot to get into/hold on to it. Renovated 2012, somebody poured buckets of dough in it, and now the "Garage Grill & Fuel Bar".
