Pic of the Day - The Anti-Donk

Call your local natural gas utility and tell them you're going to tie your generator into the supply line that goes into your townhouse. Tell me what they say after they stop laughing. I'll wait right here until you get back. That's ok, I'm retired. I can wait.

I'm doing a lousy job putting into words what I'm trying to get across. I'll just wait until he calls and hear what they say. I shall be vindicted.

Well that was educational,

Well Stan? Clearly they exist and are useable... why do think they are a problem?

I have found that the natural gas utilities get very persnickity about hookups. They're afraid you're going to leave behind a 10 sq. block fiery crater. Haven't a clue where they get that fear from...

They have natural gas grilles all over the place here. I assume generators are expensive therefore I havent seen any. The pool is more important

Next time I see the PSE&G guy I will ask. I would be seeing them tomorrow but the storm will push that back a week

It may take a few days to get someone from BG&E to pickup the phone. But I will post the answer.

Everybody laughed at me for moving to FL. I have yet to even experience a tropical storm.

I've got my Kevlar hemet on................I'll be ok.

LOL!!!

:suning:

Yes. it's not a matter of "if", but a matter of "when" as in anything.
I'm realistic enough to have a whole house generator for if and when...
But as far as I'm concerned, New England between, T.S.'s that make it up there much more than they hit here, Nor'easters, heavy snowstorms and blizzards, hail...
it's a piece o'cake here.
