Hello folks, it’s a fair argument that wheel choice makes or breaks the look of a car, stock or otherwise. My Saratoga didn’t come on stock wheels and I’m stuck for choice. I have some ideas but I’d be interested/grateful to see what people have opted for, stock or not - particularly on 4 dr cars, but all input appreciated.

I like the 4 bar spinners that came on my 60 dart. That said, I had to stay with the 14" factory rims. I upgraded to radial tires from Coker Tires though.
Lets see your Saratoga.

These are the wheels it came on. Would have considered keeping them if it was a two door but don’t suit it as is. A fair bit of work has been done to the car in the last few months with more work ongoing. It’s a ‘repair and use’ project which has gone a little further than intended but thanks to a bunch of friends putting time in during evenings and weekends it will hopefully be on the road shortly after the festive season.

Oversized and heavy cars that came with 14" wheels from factory. Not a great thing. I like 15" much better if it's not a stock restoration

I would choose a 15" wheel cover you like and run that. They were many to choose from over the years.

Or try to find a "tasteful" aftermarket wheel that looks good, not easy these days. They seem to like putting 16 fake bolts around the rim edge to look like a bead lock.

Here is my choice for the A108. Low cost with some dings on them, looks decent to my eyes.

I like it as it is but since it is your car, your choice. Enjoy it and do it your way.

Looks like the last owner thought of it as a street machine, what theme do you want to project for it? Stock? hot rod? mild custom? simple beater with some dog dish caps? The world is your oyster

I cannot speak for the PO as I’d like to strangle him for the horrific Patina snake oil that was poured all over the paintwork but I don’t know if he was responsible for the rims…im just grateful they aren’t staggered sizes as for me that’s a no-no on a 4dr.

Very mild custom. Other than repairs being carried out needed I’m not looking to stray too far from the originality of the overall aesthetic. A little altitude adjustment, a good cut back and rescue of the original paint and a good polish of the bright work. It’s going to be a daily driver so throwing money at a paint job isn’t going to happen. Big car, small parking spaces over here and people who don’t give a damn about opening their doors onto yours.
