Picked this little guy up and a few others

What’s with all these cars going to Europe? Is it a status symbol to have one over there with the gas prices? Kinda like having a friend in a metal band I guess. They play at the vfw halls here for 75 people & play to large packed theatres for 1,000+ over there, lol. A true head scratcher.

It's called discretionary dollars, and Europeans have them, North Americans don't, in general. But Fusies are the hot ticket for an old Mopar across the pond, apparently.

They´re the hardtops with a reasonable price tag here. Other Mopars are mostly Formal sedans or B/E-bodies with a crazy price.

Formals are a finish only thing somehow. Cars that sold in Finland when new. Outside of Finland Formals are comparably rare despite the occasional Bluesmobile.
But there isn't any request that is why they are cheap and do not get imported from the USA otherwise. Fuselage C-bodies are the most sought after full size Mopar overhere by far.

Fusies are popular because they satisfy europeans sense of modern design. At least in american cars.Fusey styling was very clean. And i,m sorry but there just isn,t really much that was produced in europe that can match our lovely floating living room sleds.Except large me cedes maybe.Possibly Daimler,Rolls. But not the average car.Thank god there,s collectors who are saving these now.The formal years i feel are considered a little baroque in comparison but i love them.B.B

Almost All Chrysler products from the early seventies really do stand out & scream something to just about everyone in one way or another. Even if you can’t put a finger on it or put it into words good, You just feel it. You say to yourself, What a time to be alive when people were driving these new, they were living it!

I,m telling you one of my best friends who lived through my chrysler years and enjoyed them with me always said, nothing says huge better than Chrysler.Especially when you said Imperial.Ha!!B.B

All these foreigners buying up our good ole 'Merican cars!!!!!!!:)
It's a shame that American's don't appreciate C-Bodies enough to buy them and keep them at home.
I guess the only good thing is that if we get to them before the Europeans, we can still buy them cheap.

But, if I keep.buying them cheap, I won't have any money to fix them up! But I'd have a naval fleet!

At least they are being kept.A beautiful Imperial from Germany was on ebay at some point and it was beautiful.I would prefer americans to re-discover these cars before their gone.B.B

ImpJay is right about the crazy prices people are asking for b and e bodies. Someone here must have discretionary dollars because they’re paying those prices. But obviously, not everyone in this country wants a b or e, otherwise we wouldn’t be on this site. Apparently we all agree the c bodies are great cars worth saving. In a way, the fact that these cars are in demand in Europe says a lot about our big cruisers. But its still kinda sad to see them go.
