Am I reading CM27T0C100020 on the VIN tag (1970 engine code) and CM27K0C100020 on the fender tag (1969 engine code)? Note L1 paint code (as in 1969), not BL1 (as in 1970).

Mighty shiny panhead lathe screws on that tag.
Would definitely like to see that vin tag better but it does appear to be a T doesn't it.

That is one cool car! I wonder if someone will get lucky and find a BS in that car.

Yes. There there are codes from two different model years. Also there is the 69 Paint code format (two characters) but the 70 interior code format (four characters)
