Polara71’s Superb 1969 Monaco Wagon 383 On MyCarStory

How embarrassing. I did it for the car, nothing more. In fact I told the guy no at first, wife conned me into it, I hate that stuff.

Heck. forget the car. I want your and your wife's autograph. You guys are movie stars:poke:

Cherry sled man. Clean as a whistle. Way nicer in person I am sure.

Hey man what's with this extra eye up here? Tell us a little more about that...

"Screw it. I'm outta here!"

Congrats, maybe one day I'll be able to do this for one of mine.

I've done just about everything at Carlisle including a car on the event shirt/dash plaque/ trophy plaque. Celebrity choice award, awards in class, car in a building, bought a car there. Now this silly video.

I subscribe to Lou's video channel and have been waiting for this one to drop. I've seen @david hill's Hurst an another member here with the '68 Fury 4 speed. I think they are cool little vids that give the C's some decent exposure. Now if only @ayilar would get in front of the camera we'd get a nice cross section of Fuselage cars.

I'd like to be asked someday, but then again I also want my car to be on one of those RockAuto magnets, I love kitschy stuff....

Congratulations Dave! @polara71

Congrats Dave, well deserved. One of the best represented wagons Lou has featured. I agree w/ @Samplingman getting @ayilar in front of the camera w/ one of his Polara's would be a stand alone feature by itself. Michel's knowledge on the last of the convertibles would make for interesting conversation.

I’m curious Dave cause I think that was a cool thing and an honor, but how did that happen?

The artist that was drawing the design for Carlisle Events that year was a Moparts member. He asked for photos of a 71 Dodge A body, it had to be a very nice running, driving car. He already had two 71s for the design, he needed a 3rd. I posted the photo of my blue 71 and said something to the effect of " This is all the Dodge from 71 you need" he reached out to me. That was that.

Never heard that story before, I thought you were referring to the FCBO T Shirt you had made with Murray. What year event shirt was that?

Murray had nothing to do with the shirt. I had half a box of shirts, 50 or so. Traded him the shirts for parts.
