1977 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham

Looks nice but is well above Commando 1's default price of $2500.

Did not attach all photos from CL as I doubt the ad is going anywhere.

1977 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham- 2 door with 13,000 original miles. This yacht is in very good original condition. It has Air, Electric windows, antenna and door locks, AM-FM 8 track, Cruise, tilt and telescope, Road wheels, Vinyl roof, 440 4bbl. I bought this car to drive and have not driven it once. Call or text with questions

With only 13,000 original miles I wonder why the center caps on the rims were changed to the early '70's style?

Geeze, what did he take the pics with. A ten year old flip phone?

I might go 35 hundred after an inspection because of the low miles.

I bought this car to drive, but my Camry is easier to drive without a brain.

Amusing when someone buys a "classic" car thinking that they will drive it, and come to the realization that regardless of miles or condition, that their dream car drives and behaves differently than a late model car. I have been using classic Chryslers as daily drivers since I began driving, and I enjoy the driving experience that they provide.

Judging by the items around in the pictures I think someone likes owning old stuff to look at not to be used.

Whenever someone states such low mileage I never believe it. If they have maintenance history great, but we never see any proof. That being said It looks like a nice car.

Although the BSM doesn't look too bad on certain colors/models, (such as this) he doubled-down and added some, lol.

A well cared for 113,000 mile car. If this is a person who bought the car to drive, because it was old and cool, then he is also a person not likely to know much about cars and how to evaluate them. I see those type all over here.

Asking price and selling price is probably a wider gap then most people think for Formal's.

113,000 is exactly what I would want it to be. I agree... too many think it would be cool to own with no clue as to how it should drive, be maintained, etc. If a true 13,000 mile car, it would have a lot of gremlins from sitting.

gotta be, even with 113000
No, absolutely not if it's 113k and I'm not being a cheap bastard.
I'm sure literally every Fueslage Polara to go through here is etched in your mind along with their asking prices. I would not debate a 70/71 Polara price with you.
Several of us are the same way with Formals. If I started a serious search now, I now a better Formal with a lower price could be found within only a few months.
The ATC alone knocks a grand off the value (or, you could look at it as Manual A/C adding a grand in value) .
Of course, in this case, the seller himself isn't helping the situation, either .

Ironically, knowing what I know now, I'd pay top dollar for a low mileage Formal 4 dr sedan with no vinyl and manual A/C.

ok..... knowing what you know.... then, along comes someone who doesnt know what you know and surrenders 5 grand and may live happily ever after

$5000 is realistic... If you don't watch the market on these, have zero patience and really just want an impulse buy for an old car that you will tuck away and go through fits getting everything working again in the spring.

End of cruising season in Philly... the owner would have likely done better earlier in the year or just wait until next year. If he sells long distance... shipping is in prime-time right now when heading warm.

The number of these cars to languish at 5-10k is a major percentage of the ones I can find for sale. Now if a parts car is worth $2k territory, then it would be wise to buy a worked out nice one. I have my doubts on the car in question.

I guess thats what it comes down to on these cars.
A guy passionate about Formals will know there is better out there and will pass.
A Flavor of the Month guy wanting to look cool at the AmVet car show would think $5k is a steal when Town Cars are going for much, much, more.

Plus, he will say, "There's a guy in Lakeland , FL getting 3x that for this same car. . . "

a guy passionate about formals, think about that. How many are out there? I am not passionate about them but I have seen my share being in the C body internet world for 20 years. A SOLID two door in a desirable color and fairly close to home is NOT a frequent occurrence...I couldnt care less if the air worked, as long as the windows do
