Power Window Motor

You checked the connection between the switch and the motor too? Had to ask.

Not sure on the ebay unit, they list it for '72 but all the motors Chrysler used from the late '50s to '76 or so were all the same and it was the bracketry that was specific to the different models. Whatever car the motor came from you would just swap your brackets onto it and you're good to go. The one on ebay does not look the same but it stands to reason that if you could make it work on a '72 then you should be able to make it work on the other years as well. I'd call Dorman and ask.

How about a tutorial on how to fix them, I have resisted the urge to throw away all the ones I have with the broken pucks.

Sure...I'll put something together...I assume you guys want pictures. In that case it will take me more time.

All 4 window motors on my NY'er were seized up. I put the motor in a vice and couldn't move the steel gear with vice grips. I replaced all of them with A1 Cardone motors. The blower motor was seized up also.

The former owner sounds like a real pissa.
"Hmm now the xxxxxxx doesn't work. Fuggit. I ain't keeping it anyway."

I don't know how long ago the owner passed away. I was told by the lot lizard that the car didn't move for the last 25 years. I found a Pennsylvania parking ticket from 1984 in the car. No registration or any inspection stickers.

That info would of been priceless and I really would of enjoyed talking to the gentleman about his car. He bought it brand new. The lot lizard had the original title and I had to get it titled in Pennsylvania to get a temporary tag to drive it home. I wasn't thinking and I should of asked if they would make a copy of the original title for me.

I went ahead and bought the eBay motor I linked in a previous post. I'll tear into it on Saturday and let you guys know if it is a good replacement.

I have several styles of motors in reserve on the shelf from supposedly different applications.
They all have the identical 3 hole pattern and they all fit.
The electrical connections are different. That's it.

I got the motor and it was not like the one pictured on eBay. I returned for a full refund. Back to the drawing board. I may just get an A1 Cardone rebuilt unit and install my gear set in it. I'm gonna dig into mine tomorrow and find out what's going on.

I replaced all 4 of mine with A1 Cardones...bolted right up and haven't had a problem since.

Probably a good way to go Bob. I'm going to wait for the tip and hopefully fix all of the ones with the broken pucks I have stashed away. Glad I didn't pitch them!

I put all 4 motors in a vice and couldn't budge the steel gear with vice grips. I turned them in as cores for the A1 Cardones.
