959 CI engine with 6 kits of nitrous
Does that qualify as a "mountain motor". I remember reading something over the last few years about the revival of that class.
Same here. I like the F.A.S.T and Pure Stock classes as well.I like Top Sportsman and the X275 classes too!
Sportsman racing is the meat and potatoes of drag racing. The Pro classes get the people to the track. I do enjoy the nitro cars, the power is too impressive to ignore. But the guys who spends their free time and money on their cars are the ones who deserve the accolades. I hope to get to an 1/8 mile with my Dart, for **** and giggles. It will never be a track car, but it would be fun to see what it may be capable of. As I've gotten older, the need for speed has slowly faded. Realizing how much it costs is part of it. Only so many dollars to go around, and I keep buying more cars. I love the saying, "speed costs, how fast you want to go?"
You're gonna do it, you're crazy! You worked hard, now it's time to play hard. For now.....10.8 ET is fast enough with my Redeye.
I have 2 rear diff kits to put on the Redeye. And I'm looking to get a set of M/T ET or R's for the rear. I believe with the kits and rear tires I can get it to a 10.5 ET.
I have consulted with the Brenton at Forza and I'm waiting a little longer (warranty) before getting the 4R conversion at Forza Tuning and Performance. That will take it to 1100-1200 hp and easily into the low 9's.

I was just thinking about all the planes, trains, and boats that are powered by diesel, and how they won't be going away anytime, why target cars? I say burn as many gallons as you can before it's a over. Before they quit making racing fuel.....
I see the 2011 race schedule is posted. The 422 Allstars use to race in the mid- Atlantic area. I don't know what happened to them. They haven't races anywhere in the last couple of years.
