In the process of purchasing a 66 300 2dr.
383 4bbl.
Period correct bias ply but weather checked. Probably installed when they were still readily available.
Non console car, low options, no AC (hard to find AC northern cars), pwr antenna of all things.
66k on it. Last on the road in 1985 I believe. Been sitting in a barn since.
A friend stumbled over it a few doors down from him. I'm buying it off him, not the original owners. Has all original paperwork and card in engine compartment.
I was thrilled that he offered it to me after telling me about it and showing pictures, first thinking he was going to restore it.
When he started into it, he decided he's really more of a Tri Five Chevy and military jeep guy. I guess couldn't get an attachment to it. The paint was kind of a show stopper, and it needs more attention than he has time for.
SO here I am getting another car that I don't need, but want.
Though this isn't our first rodeo, still happy to hear any advice and guidance. I will upload pics of it soon.

Hey! Welcome to the party! Looking at the front angle picture, it looks like you may have a pretty solid car. However, I'm always wary of northern cars and their insidious rust issues. Also looks like the paint may be in better shape than you think. AND. . . At least .the front right turn signal lens appears to be unbroken! Looking forward to more photos - especially the fender tag.

Here is the thread about my '66 300 adventure: The SAGA Begins - '66 300 Convertible
