Question: Center Link for 1973 Fury

I'm looking in the 1973 Parts Catalog at the Center Link (Part Type Code: 19-27-50) for power steering cars. It shows that the Plymouth Fury uses the same center link as the other C-Bodies (P/N: 2269393), but it shows that it can also use the P/N: 2835877 center link that the E-body uses. It's only in the 1973 Parts Catalog where I've seen the Fury being allowed to use the 2835877 (E-Body) center link.

1. What changed in 1973 to the Fury to allow it to use the E-body center link?
2. Are these two Center Links interchangeable?

I know in 73 the size of the tapered shaft on the pitman arm went to a larger size. Otherwise...im not sure what else changed that would allow this.
