Rant!!!

I'm sure the fact that I'm again attempting to quit my 25+yr pack of reds a day habit has nothing to do with it!. But seriously what possible reason could they have for wanting the PULLY to only go on one way!

I've got a reason... besides selling more beer... balance, if everything is balanced correctly, you get a smoother running engine.

That's the most logical thing I've heard so far thank you sir !! But why did they change it the 70's to an evenly spaced bolt pattern? btw I love the lotus esprit!!v8?

The later cars had cast cranks and external balancing. Any out of balance of the pulley became negligible.

All my friends Vape I see it just as a passing Trend. I find it a bit annoying too.

If it was easy anyone could do it. LOL :laughing4: The other fact is that the engineers who design cars have never worked on them. If they did you better believe they would build them differently. Have you worked on any late model stuff? Not too much fun.

Yea,late model stuff blows compared to the good ole stuff! 2 hours for me to pull the engine outta my fury and 10 hours in a 03 Durango! It woulda been cake if it was a 2 grove pulley, but that 3rd groove took up some valuable real estate !

I can't get over the feeling I'm smoking a fat ink pen lol. I'm just quiting it all straight out!

I quit three times. The last time for good. It's been about 8 years now. The latest time I used the patch. I found its secret. Even with the patch I wanted a smoke. But if one gets the urge to smoke and one rubs the patch, at least the ones that were available then, you got a very nice buz. Much like the buz we all got when we started smoking each morning. About three weeks of that all and that was that. I did try it again after a year and hacked my brains out amd tasted like (have not actually done it, but I can imagine) someone **** in my mouth. That was it, haven't had the desire simce. Vaping is trading one addiction for a similar one. You're still addicted to nicotine.

THE hardest part about quiting is learning to drink without needing a cigarette. Virtually impossible. I had to give up any alcohol for about 6 months too.

I quit smoking in 1992.......one hypnosis session. I really believe if you are ready to quit you can do it without assistance. I really didn't think the hypnosis did anything... I was ready to quit. I was in a group of a 1,000 people in a wedding hall and didn't feel any different when I left.
