Great story! I once bought a '70 Newport convertible that was partially disassembled twenty years prior to the purchase, by a hoarder. Most of the parts were in a roof mounted fiberglass carrier sitting on the ground behind one of several trailers protected by an army of toads. The "new" twenty years ago carpet, top and original buddy seat and door panels were in a '75? Dodge half ton down that trail, he pointed the direction. I was busy getting the first stash, when I went to look for the trail, I couldn't find it. So I had him come out and show me. "Well there was a trail here" twenty years ago. After bushwacking for about 150 feet we found it! Unbelievably the only parts not found were the upper rear interior panels. Gotta start looking for some of those. Of course as soon as I get some he'll call me saying, guess what I found?

I also really like that he would offer to possibly sell you the big block, two door, convertible, that's been inside all this time, yet not the small block (it's not your typical small block, interesting), four door sedan rotting away outside. 'Cause that's where I keep my canoe'?

Triple Pickle- …..I must say- that was a fun read- that is after reading briefly over that thread with all the dudes complaining about old age. Trust me- I get it "Old Dudes". It's easier to buy em when you find em cheap but the time & $$ can get away from ya-......that's why I enjoy buying em Roadkill style. Drop $1000 or less, make sure it runs, have fun and call it a day ( lol) but that aside- TP- thanks for the fun story. I hope you score the car and I as well am curious of the hood scoops. Hell- makes me want to get a hood like that for my 72 Fury Wagon or even same Ram Air fun on my 70 Pontiac Cataline Wagon.

Supposedly a factory 383. I can’t confirm it because I couldn’t open the hood or see the ViN.
And the the price? $8500 I’m out.

$8,500 for a 383/330 HP Sport Fury convertible isn't out of line.
$8,500 for a 440/375 HP Sport Fury convertible is the deal of the decade.

The condition of the car can’t be determined without excavating it from where it is. Again, a MAJOR undertaking. By all accounts it’s a factory 383, but it hasn’t been proven.
Interesting for sure, but not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t trade my old green Polara for it where it’s sitting.

says 383 on the scoops prob 383-2bbl car factory.. not worth the trouble to get it out for what he wants..bottom of car might be gone.. red int a plus.. console buckets a plus..sport fury a plus.. sad

OBV NONE CAME WITH SCOOPS..THEY TOOK THE STOCK FURY BADGES AND PUT THEM ON THE SCOOPS...
