Ive never seen one before. Most of the Larks I run up on are six cylinder 4 door sedans in poor condition needing a lot of work to be road worthy so this was a surprise & a treat. Check out the video. I think you’ll like it.

Interesting little car. I can't recall seeing factory chrome valve covers before, but they look like factory stamped ones. Nice little ride.

And you are correct, that is the 289, which only has 2 studs in the valve cover. The previous 259 had 4 studs down the center.

Haha we did a Google search before we videoed

Your buddy Eldon has some really cool cars.

Most in my high school had early 70s Nova’s, Monte Carlo’s, and a couple Camaro’s, or early 70s F150s. One dude had a really sharp 73 green 442 w white stripes. Rich kids had new Trans Ams, Camaro’s, and Mustangs, or Cutlasses.

A lot of my peers wanted Nova’s or Monte’s. I like Eldons Nova and 74/72 /6 Twister. Lots of neat stuff.

I had the only 70 RR but an older guy had a 69 RR. Only Mopars. Was a pretty small school.

I’ve only begun on Eldon’s collection. Then there’s Jimmy & then Mike. About 14 or so to come.

Looking forward to seeing them. That orange Dodge Ram looks good too. Saw a 71 or 2 B body I thought also.
That’s a two wheel drive Ramcharger. Eldon is proud of that. Works on it a lot. Yes we have several cool B bodies coming up. And a couple junk yard C bodies. Stay tuned.

Would love to have a lift off roof Ramcharger, with no upper door frames. What is that, pre 75?

I do believe that was how Studebaker distinguished their power pack engines from standard.

It might be. I've been away from the Studebaker world for quite a while now, so I forget some stuff. It seems like Pontiac did the same?

I do know that '55 V8s were two different shades of blue. If you're bored, ask me how I know that...

Eldon has a 72 Coronet 4 door sedan he drives to car shows all over. He’s named it Copperhead Road. 360 single 4 barrel on a tunnel ram. A833 overdrive 4 speed with an 8.75 4:10 sure grip. When I get time we plan a full video feature with lots of creative editing using Steve Earls song Copperhead Road if I can buy the licensing rights. YouTube doesn’t offer the song in their playlist.

I have seen a similar one in the same colour running around the Niagara area

Perhaps Fred @Fratzog can confirm if he has seen it at the local cruise nights
