Rarity?

I've had a 70 or 71 ,2 door Plymouth sport Fury come to my attention. I know little about them other then they are not very common. This sport fury happens to be a mod top also. Paisley top and interior. I believe the color is Sahara tan or burnt tan. I was shown pictures of the car a few years ago and thought it was sold. I've recently found out it's still available. 383 bench seat car I believe. As always any help is appreciated. Sorry for the lack of pics, if I can get to where it is in the next few days I'll snap some.

It is probably a Gran Coupe from your description since they had the paisley tops. The cars were usually brown with a matching paisley vinyl top. Most of the time they had paisley cloth bench seats and one feature that makes them undesirable to me - which is a C pillar roof that is wider than the usual one and tapers rearward such that the rear glass is concave. To me it made them look too heavy in the rear, and not as well styled overall as the usual Fury Coupes. As such, while they are not quite as abundant as the regular two door Furys, they usually do not bring much value and are not as well sought after. They could be 2 door hardtops or sedans. Here is one such two door sedan example:

If it were a 1972 Gran Fury, they had the standard revised roof line starting with the 1972 models (but no paisley vinyl tops), and they had one of the best front ends with hidden headlights that Chrysler made, so to me at least, they are pretty desirable, and I would love to have a nice one of those.

Thankyou sir! I'm fairly sure it's a 70/71. Close to identical to the 1st picture. I had pictures of it a few phones ago but alas they are gone. Couldn't agree more on the stature of the 72 fury front end. I love em too. The car has a very reasonable price attached to it but o know it needs brakes, trunk floor and rear frame rails. All of which are above my pay grade lol. Still I find myself thinking about it.

Thanks for the correction. I thought any pattern outside of the normal vinyl type were mod tops.

Then we have the Turtle Grain and Gater Grain roofs. Design guys had to have been smokin something in those days.
