This site hasn't needed the hand of God to moderate it, not even now. For me it has ceased to be that friendly forum to hang out on, and I'm not alone in this. If I get my car sold, I likely won't be back.

Well you can go too far these days of the "Nanny State" as the old Manx Government TT Forum that for many years was a 'Fun' fan site and pretty much user moderated but run by the Manx Government which was closed down/frozen due to liability worries about the time 'Bullying' became a issue.
It's surviving sister site got the hammer rule after longtime users Witch & Cargo got into it over something and got banned, (I missed it) and the (new?) owner cleaned house, with the reminder TOS including the UK's Telecommunications Act which has "inconvenience or needless anxiety to another" in it so.... no one dare post anything.
Actually about this time FaceBook was on the rise and everyone shifted over there.

I am on all 3 sites.I have learned a lot from some very sharp people who know there stuff..I have to agree with carrman.There is a big difference between humor and down right negativity for the sake of making a jerk out of seller who may not be as knowledgeable as some of us are about these cars and parts.I see it with the NOT MINE ADS..Before I joined C bodies I had my fury for sale on another site.It ended up being listed here as a not mine thread last year and the car was really critiqued which is fine I have thick skin but not being able to defend my add against the negative comments really is irritating.I only found out recently it was even on here.I am glad Joey is going to enforce some of the stated rules...Some of the posters really need to lighten up let people sell there stuff in peace and go back to having fun....thats why we have this hobby right???.....

Sorry Stubs, NOT wrong. I don't know what to tell you, but that is where my screenshot came from. Let me type this slow for you so you can follow along - 1. click on Terms and Rules at the bottom, then 2. click on the appropriate tab on the left side. Did you even try it before you spouted off?

Wow, a lot of us freaking out over nothing. The rules were there and now a sign went up stating the rules. I don't think much will change. I overreacted at first reading this. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

Dave, he just posted them like the other sites. We aren't the B body or E body crowd, and the A body folks just have more numbers. Just because he posted the same thing that's been hiding somewhere in the site, all has gone to hell in a handbag? We'll see I guess, but I'm not jumping to any conclusions. We've been pretty well behaved regardless of what rules were posted on each for sale forum, or not. I hope I'm not wrong.
Nothing is changing.
