Redeye Widebody

I understand that.... I want more than five minutes off the lot depreciation. I'm thinking three years depreciation
You might be disappointed.
I've been tracking used Challenger Scat Pack prices for a month now and those damn things are holding their value. Today I looked at a '16 6 speed and they wouldn't budge from 28k.

Challengers in general hold their value. Sure The performance level goes up the value holds a little more but it's that way with most is it not?

If you recall I was looking long and hard at Scats, Cats and Demons last year. I'm glad I didn't as I had a little commando on my shoulder saying stick to the plan.
There was probably 6 months of me hunting and hunting hard. At some point I wanted to wait for the " Black eye" color to come out to see it compared to PC as they were supposed to make both.
Then a piece of the plan came together and car was pushed back. Oddly enough the next car will probably be a minivan.

AND I dont think 28 for a $42000 4 year old car is bad, I wouldn't have budged either.

Have to look hard at Scats. Not all Scats are the same. Scat Pack Plus has a lot of the Hellcat options and it makes a big difference in value and cost. The economy Scats sold in the low $40's and the loaded Scat Pack Plus were in the high $50's. The Plus model's came with the 6 piston Brembo's and 15.4" rotors, 9.5 x 20 wheels and 275 tires. The economy Scats had 4 piston Brembo's and the small rotors and 9x20 wheels and 235 tires. Tire size makes a big, big difference on Scat's and Hellcat's. 3.09 axle, Performance pages, Line Lock, Launch Control, several leather packages, and an upgraded sound system pushed the price up deep into the $50's. And then all that stupid safety crap added another $5k with reactive braking, enhanced cruise control, lane assist, etc.

Thanks Bob, I think I looked pretty hard and thorough. Again, as you know we test drove a few including the cool 1320s.
I think you know me enough to not settle. Despite the urge I try to wait for the right one, the one I would have ordered new if I had the chance.
As I built them on the dodge site my price for a 2019 was 55 and change.
In June I was close to buying a Hellcat Redeye in Wisconsin . Oddly enough my wife had to talk me off the trigger. Something she doesn't usually do, I'm glad I didn't pull that trigger.

There are good deals on Scat's and Hellcat's out there if you can find them. Now with the 0% interest (I don't know if Scat's & Hellcat's are eligible) now might be the time to pull the trigger. I was lucky and got a killer deal on my Redeye and a very low interest rate on the remainder that I financed. I couldn't pass on that deal plus the Redeye had every option I was looking for except that I really wanted the 2020 Frostbrite Blue paint. The cheapest 2020 I could find with that color and the required options I wanted was north of $95k. So I was totally satisfied with the price and options on the White Knuckle 2019 Redeye I ended up with.

All the car dealerships are shutdown here in PA. I'm sure there will be great deals whenever they reopen.

Automotive repair shops deemed essential in Maryland.....probably can't buy a car.

Service is probably open and sales not available.

Here too, that's why I can still run my tool truck. But the dealership half of the car dealerships are shut down. GM, Ford and Chrysler. I lost 6 customers on Friday because of the sales departments shutting down. Even the mom and pop car dealerships that have repair shops aren't allowed to sell cars.

I've been looking at the Hellcat Challenger for about 6/7 months, and went to look at one in a high end used luxury car dealership that they just had posted on their website . It was local, so I made an appointment to see it.

I liked everything about it, Black/Black Widebody, w/Laguna leather seats, Sunroof Harmon Kardon, etc. The dealer told me it was never titled, and they picked it up as a car that was special ordered by a dealer, who drove it as his personal car. To me it had all the right options, including the 6-speed Tremec trans.
For a used 2019 Hellcat, (not a RedEye) it already had 11K on the clock. But damn, that's 717 HP. I wanted it.
Dealer wanted $68K, which I thought was too much, and before I left they came down to $65K. Still too much I thought at the time since a new Hellcat w/o the Widebody option could be bought for a little less at the time I was looking.
If they came down to the 50's range, it'd be in my garage today.
At some time later I was at a new car Chrysler dealership, and wanted to know about the $7070/7170? dealer discount for the Hellcat, and was told you only qualify for this discount if you live in specified zip codes, and mine is not on the list.

Redeye discount is $7970 on the 2019's.

I'm still lookin for the right one, but haven't found one that's loaded like yours or the one I saw at the used car luxury dealership.
Haven't been to any dealerships lately, but was wondering if the $7970 discount still applies to certain zip codes, or if there is a way around it, if it still applies.

In my opinion they want way too much for that car with 11k miles on it. Who knows if it had 1000 runs at the dragstrip. You could go through the data in the Performance Pages and see things like the max speed the car went. 0-60 mph time, 0-100 times, 60 foot times, 1/4 mile times, etc.

I would recommend buying a car in another state to get the discount. I bought my Redeye in Massachusetts and I live in Maryland. I ended up with a huge, huge discount.

My Redeye had 8 miles on it when I got in it and started my drive to Maryland.

They were way over priced, but that places main bread & butter comes from the sale of Porsches, Audis and Mercedes. The Hellcat was an oddball considering everything else they had on the floor.
I had read your thread about going to pick up your recent purchase and wouldn't be opposed to going to one of the nearby states if the right car showed up.
I've been looking mostly on cars.com when doing a search. I don't know if there a better way to find dealers inventory.
One other question I was trying to answer to when going on dodge.com/build & price, is where the option is for the 3.09 gear? Was wondering if it is only available on the Redeye, and/or if available with the six speed?

I built out a 2020 Redeye on the Dodge website and the 3.09 axle was an available option in the drivetrain section. I don't know if it was available in the Hellcat with a 6 speed build profile.

I actually googled new 2019 Redeye near my zip code and 50 of them popped up on the East Coast. I did all the negotiations over the phone. That is the first car I ever bought without putting my eyeballs on it before buying it.

I did have some assistance by a few guys here on FCBO. One of them is a Mopar Sales Manager in Canada. If you are going to get your dream car you have to think outside the box and maybe buy the car from a dealer in another state.

It took longer to get my registration and plates than it did to buy the car. Maryland MVA and no temporary registration available in Massachusetts created the delay. I'm a 100% disabled Vet so I saved $750 by waiting on the Maryland MVA Disabled Veteran registration process.

I've done that twice.
First one was a Fly 'n Drive.
Second one was an arranged Courtesy Delivery to my local dealer.
If I ever do it again (although the possibility is near zero) I won't be doing #2.

I was worried waiting for a month to get my Redeye but I'm glad I did it that way and ended up with the car I wanted instead of settling for a car on a local dealer lot. I have never done that before.
