Redeye Widebody

BOB!!!! Is it really you??? Must be as its a Metric Challey post lol. Good to see ya buddy!

The converted Challengers have been around for years as Dave said but man it would be nice if Ma Mopar would build one. We have the plant capacity.... when we aren't building a 392 Jeep Wrangler :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

I swore in 07, when the new Challenger comes out Im buying a Hemi Orange convertible. I wasn't specific in saying a factory built convertible. I cant see these not being lucrative. If Mustang and Camaro did it......:wtf:

That's true of all newer convertibles. The 'verts of the 60's and 70's all looked good top up or down. The new ones don't.

Great point! Why is that ?

I believe if Mopar built metric convertibles....it would be the plain Jane V-6's. Probably citing the power and torque being too much for the frames of the Scat Pack's and Hellcat's.

Line Lock action is nothing to worry about. Launch Control action is the real body twister to worry about.....especially if you have slicks on it.

485 HP is no joke....

Understood, I thought they were the same thing but I see they are different now. I am not well-versed in these metric Challengers, at least not yet.

Nah, I bought a brand new LeBaron Convertible in '82, when they were introduced Great little car, had it for years then my daughter had it for years. I never had an issue....and there was no $26,000 line item for "market demand"

I'm waiting for my 2nd brace kit (front pinion) for the diff to be manufactured and shipped.

I drove several and came close to buying a 85 600 convertible. Then an 87 lebaron convertible. The 82-86s were definitely more " pliable " than later years.

If I had a convertible top Scat Pack or Hellcat it would have a have a full race cage with a 5 point harness or I would deem the car unsafe to drive.
