Yeah, absolutely right, I remember this was often the case with these car giveaways, they'd show a previous year because they didn't have a stock photo of the car and in the fine print, tell you that wasn't the car. Usually it didn't matter but when there was a drastic change, it could suck. I liked the Pre 82's but hated everything after. The Asterisk is the key.

I just heard this weekend that the Arby's in the town I grew up in, Meadville, PA is taking down their sign. Apparently there are very few still in use and it has become too difficult and costly to get parts. The passing of another era I guess.

i went to one of these a while back while passing through cortland n.y.
first time. we went in because it's winter. you seat yourself, look at the menu, and when you are ready, pick up the phone at the table and place your order.

similar to this only no dial. a few minutes later a waitress brought our order, everything in paper or glass mugs (no plastic or styrofoam). pay with cash no cards accepted. it was refreshing to go back in time with a 60's - 70's vibe and good food.

It was the mid 60's, I was in high school. Noon time meant a bonzi run to A&W's for a foot long, (A Real foot long, not a extra long like now), onion rings and a big glass mug of root beer, or.... A root beer float.
