Single post rotary lifts.

Wow, I remember those single post lifts, used to scare the bejesus out of me when the whole car would rotate when I'd be underneath wrenching. Two post lifts are much easier on the nerves. One I saw and loved, a four post with built in jacks that could be slid where you wanted to raise one or more wheels off the rails or to unload the suspension.

Amen to that, I always had a hair trigger and at least two exits mapped out. One time I was under the hoist draining oil while one of guys was airing up a big truck tire. When the valve stem blew out of the rim I instantly was out front by the pumps. The guys said they never saw anybody move that fast. Hair trigger!!

My first lift... the same one I put the parts car on for inspection in PGH when I bought her... I forgot about the swing when she came down and had to re-rack and straighten the car and lift so I could get her out the door.

That made me think of Gino's. When living outside Baltimore, between 1962-66, one got fast food hamburgers from Gino's as in Gino Marchetti of the Baltimore Colts. We lived in Catonsville and it was on the main street. I just went looking for a picture, ran into this link, and damn if it doesn't talk about Gino's in Catonsville on Frederick St.
