Removing side trim rivets?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, nor do I know what the proper term for these items necessarily are, but I was wondering about the pieces of metal which the side molding trim would mount to, how would you get them out, claw hammer? Or would you have to saw them off? Just curious as I'd prefer to do it the cleanest way if possible.

I just grind them off, they are welded on and pulling would just leave a bunch of outie dents on the car.

Not rivets, won’t pull out. They are welded to the sheetmetal. Grind off.

photo: larger round green thing is a stud, so remove the nut on the other side.
