Hey guys,

I was hoping some of the local to South Jersey area members would be able to recommend a reputable radiator repair shop. I noticed a pin hole leak at the top of the radiator and would prefer to rebuild and possibly upgrade the cores while keeping the factory shell.

Thanks all!

I'm sorry that I can't help with the rad repair shop, I've never had them repaired, but that is one nice looking Plymouth ya got there. Welcome.

Dave....calling Dave. Where's Dave?

Burtons radiator on the White Horse Pike (rt 30) in Somerdale ...08083 they are old school and I have used them a few times.

The other has been around for at least 30 years on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Township, right behind the Chews Landing Fire station. Always heard excellent things about them but never went because I go to Burtons..... I cant remember the name of the other place damn it!
He has a sign out front "The best place in town to take a leak".

He has a 80's Fury in the yard and a 2nd Generation in the shop.

Could be....... cant be two shops that close. Burtons is three miles down the road

I dropped my radiator off at Burton Radiator this morning and on my way I passed Tony's and it was just around the corner!

Either way, thanks for the recommendation. Russ at Burton seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Two things I always like to find in a service shop.

:sSig_thanks:

I got my radiator back today and Russ @ Burton's was awesome. He not only educated me, he restored the radiator to like new condition with a fresh coat of paint and all! Of course until I hook it up I won't know for sure, I suspect I will have no problems from the radiator for many a moon.

Thanks again for the great recommendation!

Terrific!! Please post some photos of the radiator................

side note, be cautious pouring anti-freeze into that freshly painted radiator. I once had the paint come off under the minimal spillage that had occurred.

Sure, I will try to remember to take some pics before I install. This crazy nor'easter is keeping me from doing anything outside (no heated garage)

That is great advice on the anit-freeze spillage, I generally try to avoid spilling and never worried about a splash or two on the radiator before. Definitely going to use a funnel to prevent this!

It warmed up nicely today and although its wet and sloppy I was able to get the radiator back in and got a couple pics. I need to find an actual overflow to replace the PO's 20oz cola bottle! Will hold off on the test drive until the weather breaks a bit.

Thank you all! My next task will be tearing into the electrical system, less messy and WAY more frustrating, at least for me!
