I know, I'm late to the party LOL! But since somebody mentioned earlier about maybe getting it powder coated, here's what I'm tossing into the fray. Keep in mind that center console pieces on our cars are usually pot metal and, to my knowledge, there aren't too many coaters besides me who will even touch it. This one didn't come out perfect but it's better than what I started out with.

Well it went from trashed to pretty nice driver. I'm sure the owner was happy
