Talk about a Man that had to go through some ****. Class act. Any kid nowadays could do themselves a favor and read about what he went through (ala Jackie Robinson) as opposed to the "modern day athlete" Colin Kaepernick.

R.I.P Henry.

I saw Hammerin' Hank play dozens of times in the 60's & 70's at Milwaukee County Stadium when he was a Milwaukee Brave.

In the last year and three weeks, the Baseball Hall of Fame has lost TEN (10) members.....and a Manager....

Tom Seaver, Bob Gibson, Whitey Ford, Phil Niekro, and
Don Sutton...... That is some pitching staff !!!

And at the plate, Hank Aaron, Al Kaline, Lou Brock, Joe Morgan, and Dick Allen....
And Tommy Lasorda.....

Not to mention, Bob Watson, Ed Farmer, Phil Linz, Lindy McDaniel, Denis Menke, and more....

We are losing our youth.... Does that mean that we are growing older ????

R I P Henry -- 1957 M V P -- and soooooo much more....
We will always remember you because of # 715 and ultimately # 755.....

(Hammerin Hank always said that he got bushel loads of hate mail as he approached # 714... And what should have been one of the happiest days of his life when he passed the Babe, was not...)

Maybe now, we can all hold him in reverance... For his on the field exploits, and for his incredible humility !!!!

Yes, everyone of them either heroes, adversaries or players that you couldn't help but like watching and respected. Tommy was a great coach, mentor and a character.
All of them have left a mark in our minds, hearts and a young boys soul. Each one that has passed takes away a little part of our youth. GodSpeed and thanks for the memories to each one.

Has it been mentioned what the cause of death was? Just saw this a few minutes ago.
