I'd keep those wheelcovers and simply put four Imperial appliques on them. Cover that 'bird with the Imperial crest...boom! Done!

Tim - do you realize your last C-body purchases were due to your being on the web with your daughters doing one thing and just "happening" to stumble into the 70 NYer and the 69 Imp?

I hadn't thought about it, but you're right, but The 71 NYer was found while my daughter was looking for a certain color online for digital marketing. The Imperial was me, just surfing FB marketplace. But true, while logged in in her FB account, and in both cases they were found by complete accident.

The car was repainted by the previous owner. It's a custom paint job he created. It's no longer factory F9. It is more black with a tint of green, or it could be emerald green with a ton of black to make it look black.
The seller told me all his hand written paint mixture remedies he did over the years were accidentally thrown out when he retired, so we may never know.

Thought the Imp carpet was special with more insulation than ordinary C's, may be tough to find.

The carpet is in better condition than I had thought, and will be staying in the car.
Unfortunately, with the car sitting in the garage in CT for the last 2 years, I have discovered a mouse nest in the trunk, behind the jack cover.
I've been trying to de-fumigate it over the past two days of the mildewy scent.
I'll pull the seats out over the next few weeks to check for any other nests or a possible dead critter, and give the carpet a good cleaning.

I had the car up on the hoist to further inspect for any signs of rust. The car is very solid with just surface rust and thankfully no rot.
The rear axel housing is still showing it's assembly line marking.
Oh, liking those cornering lights when they light up.

Looks like yours is one of the rare cases where the car's being repainted may be value-enhancing, not only subjectively but also objectively. Glad it is in good hands!

Hey Tim: Had a mouse get in my pop up trailer and it peed all over the cloth-backed vinyl roof. I purchased a product called "Natures Miracle for Cats" at the pet store. It has a enzyme formula that broke up the brown colored stains and totally removed that mouse piss odor. I sprayed it on. let it soak, scrubbed it with a small nylon brush. I read about it as something to try on the internet and decided what the hell. It worked well for me.

Eric, When I made the decision to drive to CT instead of having the car transported back to IL, all I was thinking about after loading the car was getting home.
I haven't done much with any of the cars lately, as my dad's health isn't doing so good. I've been preoccupied with his care at the hospital and now working with the care givers at the nursing home he is in now.
Don't think I'll be back in CT anytime in the future, but I'll catch up with you at Carlisle.
