Now that I have finished the shop light replacement, I am replacing the floor in one of the slideouts on Bruno, my 2010 Holiday Rambler Endeavor diesel pusher.
Pulled the hide-a-bed couch, dining benches, side trim and the carpet.
I have some adjustable support jacks arriving tomorrow that will support the slideout after I disconnect and retract the slide mechanism.

I will then measure the floor and have Menards rip the plywood to the same depth.
I will have to scarph two pieces together as I need approximately 13’ in length.
Quite the effort, but I am grateful that I have the capability to do this.
The floor in the RV got wet and the plywood layers delaminated.

The fun continues.
Pulled the cabinets above, interior window frames, dining table and lights above the area.
Tomorrow, I will retract the slide a bit and pull the aluminum frame inside.

I don’t think that it is. No chip.
It did have those god-aweful blue lights in each wheel well, which the seller disabled.
Still learning about what it has.
Runs well, very clean engine bay.
More to come after I get done with the RV floor replacement.

Please be careful with the slide out mechanism. If it is a Lippert system using two geared tracks and one ram, the drive bar mechanism that goes from one side to the other is under a large amount of tension and you can easily get hurt. That slide out weighs an awful lot so please be careful.

I am being very cautious.
The slide out is completely hydraulic. I believe it’s a Lippert.

I have 8 screw jacks. 2 or 4 of them will support the roof on the inside.

I have already removed about 500 lbs of weight from the cabinets, hide-a-bed couch, dining table and benches.
I am going to have to remove the interior walls to get to the lag screws that go through the slide out frame into the slide out floor.
I figure that just the floor weighs about 300 lbs.
Updates forthcoming…

Oh. I received this today too

Those are good trucks. Just take care of it and don't "roll coal" and it will easily last 500K+. A good exhaust and cooler intake air (bigger intercooler) goes a long ways. Personally I'm not afraid of a mild tune by a reputable tuner/programmer like Banks or BD. Just avoid anything "smoke" or "rolling coal".

A friend of mine used to have a trailer with a slide-out and he had to do a similar repair. It was a pretty big job, especially to do properly like you are.

You're reminding me why I don't own an RV or trailer. I have enough toys to maintain already, and nowhere to park any more either. For the one week a year that my family goes camping, it makes more sense for us to rent one. The trailer we rented this year had a slide-out on the left side too. No trouble towing it behind my Cummins.

Going on a month long trip next month and another one next February.

That sounds awesome. Wish I could do that, but it's not in the cards for me right now. I'd like to disappear in the woods for a while then find the most out-of-the-way beach that I could find. Care to share where you're going?

Absolutely!
Okay, I had a 2010 DRV that the bedroom slide out floor got all wet, bad rainstorm with high winds must of driven a lot of water, then trapped it. Totally destroyed the floor, about an $1800 fix. Had the dealer do it so I could trade for my 2016.

This one is 13’ long. I have to splice 2 pieces together.

Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Estes Park, Little Big Horn, Black Hills.
All reservations made back in February. 8^)

This evening, I installed all of the support brackets, screws and nuts, delrin slides, removed the screw jacks and did a limited test (not full stroke as the couch and dining table benches are in the way).

Success! The new floor installed is smoother and the slide out doesn’t make any creaking noises as it moves.

On to installing the rest.

My plan is to be done on Saturday.

Today is the day to finish!

Cordless stapler crapped out and this was the first time that I used it. Manual mode.
I should have everything installed today.
