Seeking A/C Condenser Rebuilder

Just to confirm, you are looking for a rebuilder of condensers and not compressor? I am asking because you mention converting to R134 and the compressor is one of the key components. Thank you!

Plenty of YouTube videos to DIY. I have never rebuilt one. I have come across a couple of recommended vendors - I have never used, just recommendations from other sites. Classic Auto Air and R&Y AC Compressors. Good luck.

I'm not going to say this is legit or proper or legal, but if it were me I would fill the system with Redtek. Now, Redtek is available in Canada as a DIY replacement for r134 (because they don't sell actual DIY cans of R134 here). Redtek is a hydrocarbon-based refridgerant (some say it has butane). I've used it in my 2004 300m and 2001 dodge ram, and it works great. I *believe* that the system pressures for 134 are higher than for r12 or r22? If so, this redtek would work in an old r12 system with no modification maybe?

PS: They also sell it as a DIY for r1234 (which is the current refridgerant used in cars after 134 was ended?). The cans come with the correct fitting for those systems.
