The combination of these valve covers and those exhaust manifolds works really well! Nice and beefy looking
What made you choose 75" pounds? Was that in the directions for the Moroso gasket?Today I installed the Mr. Gasket MRG-6860G valve cover on the passenger side with a Moroso 93050 gasket.
I bought the Mr. Gasket 6377 grommet and a Standard V178 PCV.
I torqued the valve cover bolts (with a little anti-sieze) to 75 inch-lbs.
I also applied a thin film of silicon grease to both sides of the valve cover gasket.
No leaks! 8^)
I’ll try to get the driver’s side done. However, my fiancé and I are headed to see Hank Williams Jr. tomorrow evening and I must wash Shamu as we’re taking her to the show.

They listed the torque specs on their website as 80-100, if I remember correctly. What made you choose 75" pounds? Was that in the directions for the Moroso gasket?
Asking because factory spec is 40"lbs. Thanks, Ben
MoreYesterday, I adjusted the hood latch and the hood now sits correctly. I washed Shamu and attended the Eric Buckneburg memorial car show here in Centerville, SD.
My 2 uncles were present, as several cousins and their children and grandchildren.
3 of my cousins brought their cars. 2 of them brought 2.
A 63 Sport Dart vert and a 65 Sport Fury (he drag races it and is in the running for the championship at Thunder Valley nearby), one brought his 2021 Corvette and his brother’s 2005. The 3rd brought his 69 Dart.
Very neat and lots of different vehicles.
Afterwards, my fiancé and I took Shamu out to Canton, SD to DQ for a beautiful summer cruise and some food. A beautiful day!
