No, he brought the original back and was given a USED Edelbrock carb. Then they told him a hundred bucks gets him his old carb. They failed the first time around, and never should have given the car back with a poorly rebuilt carb. Then he came back and got the used Edelbrock. They didn't do the job right the first time, then just swapped in another used part, kept his original as hostage. That's complete bullshit. If they swapped his old carb for a new or professionally rebuild carb, there would be a core charge, and the old one wouldn't be seen by him again. They jacked him to the tune of $700 to put on a used carb they had laying around (no cost to them) and keep his old one for a ransom. No way will I ever agree with what the shop did, the parts that come off a customer's car, are the customers, not the shops, unless it's agreed upon before hand that the shop keeps whatever they want. (I get that no customer wants a used tie rod off an '87 Accord)
