So an Imperial goes up to a Smart Car and says....

I haven't ever seen a smart car in person. This really puts things in perspective!

The stance on that IMP could be a wee bit lower, and without the R/T symbols which look way out of place........perhaps just "440". Yeah, perfect.

There is a guy that works near me that has a Smart car. He took two other smart emblems (they're lower case) and made a second little emblem for his hatch, so now, of course, it says "smart ***". He has a pretty good sense of humor about his little four-wheeled casket.

Wouldn't you feel extremely safe in an accident in a "dumb car" ? At least you can kiss your a.. goodbye 'cause it will be
a lot closer to your lips!!!!!!!

Actually, the Smart is a pretty damn safe little car. I've seen video of crash tests, where one is driven by remote control at 70 mph into a Jersey berm, placed at a 45* angle to the road, and the crash was 100% survivable, with minimal intrusion into the passenger cabin. Granted, the "crush zones" did their job, and the car was obviously not repairable; but it's one where the passenger dummy would've walked away from the wreck, and the driver would've had leg injuries, but would've survived.

I like a large car, just because there is plenty of room and there is not the claustrophobic feeling that you get in nearly every new car these days.

I am not a fan nor would ever buy or drive a Smart car but I did see that video and was quite impressed at the structural integrity of the occupant compartment !!!

However I ill stick to my C-Body and F350 Diesel !!!

They have their right to exist. I see this everyday downtown frankfurt. The best car to drive to work. You always find a parking spot downtown!

^^^Parking like that would guarantee getting a door crushed, just because! Not "Smart" at all to park like that.

Ahhhh. Barbara Feldon. I had such a crush on her in the Sixties. She looks like my kindergarten teacher. Really.
