Bah, I was there not long after this photo, after the Mason trial, but we had the Freeway Killer going on, then the Nightstalker, and even a couple of guys in a Van, lets just call them The Van Killers that I saw a episode about on the ID channel. They picked up their girl victims from the beach area, 1 from the Hermosa Beach area where I would occasionally hang out at, buried one girls body up off of RT39 (San Gabriel Canyon Rd.) right off the blocked fireroad I remember passing many times that summer riding my motorcycle up the San Gabriel to get to the ACH. But it only rained one time in the whole state that summer, and there was no fires, or mudslides, the gangs didn't really kick up until 1978, blocks of Compton were still in rubble from the 60's riots. Paradise to what it is today LOL.Looks like a cesspool even in 72!
