It's a 78 trick engine, not that super awesome 71 Chrysler 300 440! :poke:

I thought that was a fair price for a runner, then I saw how far away it was.

I'll have to pony up the coin and rebuild one of my cores.

I see a fair amount of BB engines at reasonable prices, (core price) lately some passenger car engines, no running in the car kind but junkyard pulls or in some state of disassembly (for your ease of inspection or brain tease to remember if all parts are there). Last couple I saw were 383's (disassembled) and a couple of complete 440's in the $250/350 range.
The CL post was up for quite awhile. There still out there.

Just out of curiosity I took a peak at my CL deleted & expired folders for the past year. I only bookmark something that I think is not a boat anchor. I see plenty of 440 blocks and crankshafts.

Mopar 440 (two to choose from) Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth - $150 (Worthington)
440 mopar - $250 (DELETED)

440 Dodge Engine - $350 (Expired)
400 - 440 mopar engines - $600 (New Ulm)
Dodge Plymouth Chrysler Mopar Engines 383 440 - $500 (Apple river)

Shipping cost I think is your least worry, getting a seller or paying some to build the crate for the engine would top that.

Fastenal is great for that I use them quite often. Drain the oils, strap it to a pallet and drop it off. Only drawback is no shipping into CA and I think AZ also. 200-500 usually for a motor.
