It's been for sale for at least a couple of months. Some of these Imperials from the classic era go for huge amounts of money, heck, I'd happily drive it as is.

Why I love it so much, the way it is. I would redo the seats some.
Funny I do Imperial searches on Youtube often, I never see these videos. Now after watching the subject Imperial's video, I am finding lists of Imperial vids. Nuts.

Beautiful car!
I wouldn't redo those seats as they appear to be original and probably why the appear the way they currently are.
That would be an awesome car to just see in the garage.

And Walter's car is even better! Wow !!

That's a beauty

This is a local '32 Imperial. This car looks even better in person.

These pics were taken on two different years, but same show.

@march 's car is in the background in this shot.

Did your '70 Nupe 'vert get sold?
Howdy Noppers but I'm not really trying very hard as I like the car and it drives wonderfully. If the blue 72 Chrysler on this site gets parted and I'm able to purchase the cassette player and radio combo I will most likely keep it till I die.

Found this video of it on youtube, a couple more short ones there as well:

Those noisy straight-cut transmission gears would drive me crazy, I think.
I wonder how this car would perform with a better gearbox. I presume it's a 3-speed + an OD box.
A modern 6-speed manual would not alter the character of the car too much, but if the gearing was suitable, would make it perform a lot better.
Or a modern 8-speed AT would be interesting also.
Not to make a hotrod, just make it more competent and capable in modern traffic.
I would presume floorboard and framerail clearance would not be an issue.

And as I think about it more, a 12v system with a modern alternator (and safe wiring), an offset-ground crank to get a bit more stroke and compression, and a 2V throttle-body EFI system that controlled ign timing would perk it up a bit also. I think those could even be camouflaged to where most people wouldn't notice it, because they wouldn't be expecting it. Oh, and maybe a small turbo under the passenger floorboard.

175-ish hp, + the low-end torque this engine surely has, + good gearing, would make a world of difference.
