The roadblock has been that as physical size increases, there are diminishing returns.

They've been using small fans to cool motherboard chips. This is not a fan these students are working on.

Granted. But you won't find these in non-gamer type desktop systems that have hyped up, over clocked processors. Yeah, these systems create mad heat....like little cray supercomputers. Also cost mad bucks too.

We have been using Peltier systems for several years to cool and heat PLC systems in sealed enclosures. It's really not a new technology.

That's what they use in those 12V coolers. Been using one of those coolers for work in my truck for years. I've replaced the fan 3 times...the cooling part is still going strong.

This is the one I bought about 8 years ago....
