Which reminds me...70 super comando?..isn't this a base line 440?...trying to understand why that pie plates there....
The VIN says T0D which is the base 350hp, exactly the same as my vert. My air cleaner was plain crinkle black, nothing on the pie plate at all. My car is a Fury III so maybe the SF got a fancy pie plate.70 super comando?..isn't this a base line 440?...trying to understand why that pie plates there....

the U code engine was not available in 1970 in the Plymouth Fury line.
Yuse guyz are messing with my head.
This is the way I understood it.
U code = 4bbl. Period. Regardless of cu. in.
V code = 6bbl. Period. Regardless of cu. in.
Had there been an 383 6bbl, it would have been a V code.
Yes? No?

But the U code was available in Fleet order cars for the 70 Fury. So it is possible to find a 70 Fury with a U code.
I'm certain members here have them
......Agreed.......two exceptions: Fury Police cars could have been had with the E86 U-code engine.
And I have a documented 1970 Fury III in switzerland which is a U-code E86 car buillt for export.
