C Body Bob
Old Man with a Hat
Ross I’ll call them in the morning. I’ll see if they will cut around them with a torch & bring them to me when they bring the windshield. There’s 2 floor brackets correct ?
Nah, guy was probably wanting $5000 for it.I should have stopped by & bought the car.

.....If anybody wants anything let me know. I’ll check back when I get there. If it’s in good shape & I can pull it I will sure try. Also depends on what price the guy wants for the stuff. It most likely will be a one & done. Too busy to make a second trip
If you don’t want it I can sell it to someone else. I’m going to ask them to cut that part of the floor. A torch & they should have it out in no time. I bet the brackets are the same as a B bodyHey Bob, just for your info, here's a pic of the two brackets (my car has a fourspeed, so the shifter hump and hole you see take the place of the auto shifter bracket). As I'm installing it in a car with a console with shifter delete, I don't actually need the shifter bracket that sits between to two outer brackets, but it makes more sense just to cut out the three on the single piece of the trans tunnel.

Let me know what they want for it before you give them the go ahead - if it's silly money then I'll pass, as I'd still have shipping to cover as well.
Cheers!
Not sure I’ll go back up thereI’d take the fender tag and any documentation you may find or at least a picture of the tag and VIN.

I ended up going back up there & I got these for you.I’d take the fender tag and any documentation you may find or at least a picture of the tag and VIN.
Such a shame. It was on the road 2 years ago. And was still restorableGreatly appreciated. That car isn’t long for this world. It’s nice to have the documentation.
Someone had already taken thatIf you pull out the gauges you will understand, there is only two running to the amp gauge. If you don't like cutting the wires, use a small socket and take out the two nuts and unplug the main wires but you may destroy the amp gauge in the process simply because of how it is made; been there, done that. Can you get the gauges or not?
I know there's only two wires with ring terminals to disconnect plus the round multi pin plug - that's kind of my point, it's easy to remove the right way so why ruin the remains for 2 minutes mild effort. I wouldn't expect Bob to yank it that way since he does this kind of stuff as his livelihood and has answered countless inquiries about 'trivial' parts/pieces so I was just expressing my frustration. If you pull out the gauges you will understand, there is only two running to the amp gauge. Yes I try not to damage anything. I pulled the switches from this car & I carefully pryed the connectors off.I know there's only two wires with ring terminals to disconnect plus the round multi pin plug - that's kind of my point, it's easy to remove the right way so why ruin the remains for 2 minutes mild effort. Comments not appreciated. I have done this before with these gauges and they are easily damaged without knowing it so I speak with experience!I know there's only two wires with ring terminals to disconnect plus the round multi pin plug - that's kind of my point, it's easy to remove the right way so why ruin the remains for 2 minutes mild effort.
