I have been looking for a 70-71 sport fury in Good Condition, but came across a Gran Coup. What are the differences? I researched some and tried comparing photos. Looks like the rear window line is different. Of course there is the paisley roof and seats. Single exhaust on a 360- less performance. I am not in a hurry, but wondering if the coup is worth considering. I prefer some power, some rumble, and a big block, but a 360 is ok.

Thanks

70-71 Sport Fury came with 2 different roof lines. I believe the Gran Coupe had a formal roof line.

Spring of 1970 saw a new mid-year model called the "Gran Coupe". It was based on the 1970 Plymouth Fury II two-door sedan but had more standard equipment including air conditioning and the Sport Fury grille with its concealed headlights. Most noteable were the vinyl roof and the interior upholstery with their Paisley pattern. Although most Gran Coupes had a copper tone paint, other exterior colors were available. Here are three different ads for this model with two of them making direct comparison to the Chevy Caprice and the Ford LTD.
