I'm not sure if anyone here has heard that the Sunbust show held in Graham,WA will be changing to a two day show in 2014, but now you know. As coordinator of this outsanding show I am looking for advice and tips about
how we should run and continue our show. So far we have an outline that Saturday will be a judged show for 1980 and newer Mopars, with a show and shine for all others. Sunday will be 1979 and older judged with show and shine for all newer cars.We are looking for help classing the new cars and forming ideas and looking for potential volunteers for Saturday. If you are intrested at all, PM me and I will give you info on where our meeting on JAN 13th will be held in Tacoma, WA.

My advise ....... Don't focus on the judging.
Somehow a lot of the fun and calmaradery is lost when a show becomes a competition. And for what .... a cheesy trophy .....?
Door prizes and/or a money tree is a lot more popular with perhaps a couple of specialty awards such as a sponsers choice or best of show/paint/interior/engine ....etc.

Just keep it light ...... MHO

When it comes to Judging, we are looking at still providing plaques, but possibly having less.

Promote non-partisanship by not allowing owners of spicific make cars to stake out prime real estate as "their cars only".

By the list you posted up it appears that it is mostly "new'er" vehicles? Where is the classes for the old mopars?

Take the cash you would have used for the show and take the thing on a nice drive.

Successful shows on the East Coast are held at race tracks and a lot of the cars run the 1/4 mile. Also have a swap meet and a show area. $25 entry fee includes watching the races.

I've been to countless shows on the East Coast.
Anything other than that........equals failed car show.

No need to worry. THIS IS ONLY FOR SATURDAY. Saturday is only set for 1980 and newer cars. This leaves Sunday to 1979 and older, to include C Bodies. We have three C body classes for Sunday. And for Saturday, a show and shine for the classic cars.

Judged shows suck...I also dislike how some shows (like Carlisle) subdivide cars and make them park in separate areas. It's harder for this list to park together when 300's and Imperials are forced to park away from the other C bodies. I prefer when groups can come in together and park together like Moparfest.

Conversely i prefer a "in class" show. I despise the layout of the Natinals but enjoyed Moparfest. Of course it seemed like half the cars at Moparfest were Cs.

Carlisle NEEDS to park the full size cars together, i like the classes but dont separate them...

FYI Carlisle you need to park in class on Saturday only.
